A lost shoe and a winning smile

Susanna and Amy are still taking walks around the lake and Susanna usually loses some socks, shoes, or both at some point on the journey. So far we have always found them but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

Twin Falls

We went on one of our favorite local hikes with Dianne while she was here: Twin Falls. Susanna tried out her new backpack (thanks Pam) and she loved it!

A Visit from Grandma Dianne

Susanna had a great time with her grandma Dianne. She is so lucky to have so many people that love her.

Whale-watching

Pike Place Market

We also went to Pike Place Market. Despite how she looks in this photograph, I think Susanna enjoyed the market (maybe she just didn't want to sit on Rachel, the 750 lb pig).

Tulip Festival

While my family was in town we went to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival. It was beautiful.

Anderson(s) Visit Again

My mom came back to visit Easter weekend-- this time my dad and sister Rachel came too. Susanna enjoyed the extra affection.

General Conference & Girls Night Out

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-- to which our family belongs-- holds a general conference (a meeting for the entire worldwide church) every April and every October. During the priesthood session (which is just for men) of the conference that just passed, Susanna and I went on our first semi-annual Girls' Night Out. We went to Starbuck's (there is one only a block away from our apartment); I had an Italian Soda and Susanna had water (they didn't sell infant milk). Then we went accross the street to the park so Susanna could do one of her favorite things: swing. I wonder what the men do during the women's session?
